Ravenswood Historic District Design Guidelines – Community Survey

Last Updated 2/19/2026Posted in Media Appearances & News Articles

The City of Ravenswood has partnered with Designing Local to develop clear, illustrated, and user-friendly design guidelines for both commercial and residential properties within the Ravenswood Historic District.

The purpose of this project is to:

  • Preserve and enhance the unique historic character of downtown

  • Support compatible new development and reinvestment

  • Provide clarity and predictability for property owners, developers, contractors, and City officials

  • Streamline review processes for improvements that comply with the guidelines

No draft guidelines have been created at this time. This survey is an important early step in gathering community input to help determine the components and priorities of the final document.

Residents and property owners within the Historic District are especially encouraged to participate.
